Dr. Goodall H. Wooten Elementary

Afterschool Centers for Education

The ACE Austin Afterschool Program offers a variety of enrichment, academic, and college-readiness classes for targeted students in the fall and spring as well as a six-week summer camp.  This fall semester the program will be offered virtually with synchronous and asynchronous programs. We will continue to provide quality, engaging activities such as Animal Science, STEM, Arts & Crafts, Music, Dance, and more!  The ACE Austin program is open to all Pre-K (4) through 5th grade students. Each participating student must have a registration form on file to participate in any of our class offerings and to receive our weekly/monthly activity kits. To register your child, please visit: https://tinyurl.com/ACEapplication2021

Parents and family members are also invited to join in on all the afterschool virtual fun!  The ACE Site Coordinator collaborates with the school Parent Support Specialist and campus leadership to ensure the needs of parents and family members.  For more information regarding the ACE Austin Afterschool program, please contact the ACE Site Coordinator Teri Wilson at (512) 387-0627 or the Parent Support Specialist Bernardo Martinez at (512) 414-0623.

The ACE Afterschool Program at Wooten Elementary is funded by the 21st Century Community Learning Center federal grant.  The Texas Education Agency (TEA) awarded Austin ISD with a Cycle 9 ACE Afterschool grant for three years and then granted us a two-year extension. We are currently in our second and final year of the extension but plan to apply for more funding for the Cycle 11 grant.
