Important Parent Information

The School Day 6:50 a.m.

Building opens Before 6:50 a.m., there is no staff available to supervise students. It is the parent’s responsibility to supervise the child until 6:50. Please do not bring or send your child to school before 6:50 a.m. All students must enter the building through the main front doors on Dale Drive. Parents and visitors who wish to enter the building sign in at the office and obtain a pass.

6:50 a.m. – 7:30 a.m. Breakfast Pre-Kinder to 5th Grade

Students who do not eat breakfast at school need not arrive before 7:30 a.m. Students who do not eat breakfast or who have finished breakfast will wait in designated areas until 7:30 a.m.

7:30 a.m. Students go to classes
7:40 a.m.Tardy Bell rings

Students who arrive after 7:40 a.m. must sign in at the office. Students who arrive late more than 3 times in a 9 week period are subject to disciplinary action.

2:00 p.m. (PreK) 3:00 p.m. (K-5) Dismissal

Students who walk or are picked up are dismissed by teachers from the following locations at 2:00 p.m. (PreK) or 2:45 p.m. (K-5). Parents are asked to wait outside of the building for dismissal. Teachers are not allowed to dismiss students from the classroom before 2:00 (PreK) or 3:00 (K-2) without a permit from the office.

  • Pre-Kindergarten : Double doors in front of Pre-K wing
  • Kindergarten: Double doors in front of Pre-K wing
  • First Grade: 200 wing to Lazy Lane
  • Second/Third Grade: Portables to Lazy Lane
  • Fourth/Fifth Grade: 300 wing to Lazy Lane

Students are not allowed to wait in any area, including Wooten Park, other than the designated area after dismissal. The school is obligated to contact appropriate authorities if a child is left for an extended period of time. Parents are required to make arrangements for their children to be picked up in a timely way at dismissal. It is not acceptable to tell children to wait at school or in the park. Before 6:50 a.m. and after dismissal it is the parent’s responsibility to ensure appropriate supervision of their children.
