Please make an effort to get your child to school on time each day. The tardy bell rings at 7:45 a.m., though students are encouraged to arrive earlier to ensure being on time. If your child arrives to school after 7:45 a.m., he or she should be signed in at the office. Tardiness has an impact on every child in the classroom. When instruction is delayed or interrupted, learning time is lost. In addition, being on time is an important life skill that we hope to teach every Wooten student. Being on time demonstrates knowledge of our school rule, and “respect for others.” If your child is going to be absent, please contact ALFRED IBARRA. You may also send a note to the Attendance Specialist in the office when your child returns to school. Notes may also be faxed to 512-459-9227.
