Story Wranglers

We have an amazing partnership with Paramount Theatre's Story Wranglers program. This collaboration has brought creative storytelling and performing arts directly into our classrooms. The Story Wranglers program has been especially impactful for our 3rd graders, who have thrived in the in-school sessions, learning to express their ideas through writing and performance. Additionally, the summer camp hosted for the greater Austin community was a tremendous success, fostering creativity and community engagement.

One of the highlights of this partnership was the recent performance, which powerfully showcased the students' magical storytelling abilities. Seeing our students shine on stage and share their unique stories was a testament to the program's impact.

Overall, partnering with Paramount Theatre and Story Wranglers has been a fantastic experience, and we are excited about continuing this enriching journey together. We are grateful to our PTA for supporting this magical experience for our students.

PEAS Program

peas

The PEAS program is an incredible opportunity for our primary grade students to experience hands-on, outdoor learning. Our outdoor education specialists collaborate directly with teachers, delivering standards-aligned lessons in science, math, health, and nutrition, all infused with Social Emotional Learning throughout the school year.

Last school year, PEAS achieved remarkable milestones by delivering 2,753 individual lessons, engaging over 4,500 students, and providing more than 36,000 student hours of outdoor learning and edible education!

We are thrilled to continue our partnership with PEAS and look forward to another amazing year of growth and learning for our students!

Daily Morning Meetings

Morning Meetings are an engaging way to start each day, build a strong sense of community, and set children up for success socially and academically. Each morning, students and teachers gather together in a circle for twenty minutes and interact with one another in a purposeful manner.

Peace Corners

One of the ways we help students self-regulate at school is through the use of peace corners. These trauma-informed spaces offer significant benefits to individual students and enhance overall class culture. Each classroom has a designated peace corner, a safe haven where children can attend to their needs, regain their calm, and prepare to return to learning and their peers. These corners are a nurturing part of our commitment to every child's emotional well-being and success.
