Visitors on Campus

Visitors are welcome on campus for purposes related to student learning, school involvement, and student support. Approved reasons for visiting may include:

• Registration and enrollment
• Scheduled conferences or meetings related to a student’s academic, behavioral, or social-emotional needs
• Grade-level orientation sessions
• School tours
• Services provided by campus and community partners
• School events and other approved campus activities

All visitors must check in through the main office, wear a visitor badge, and follow all campus safety and security procedures.

Drop-Off and Pick-Up Protocols

Morning Drop-Off

Parents and guardians should say goodbye in the designated Hug Zone near the main entrance. To support a safe and smooth start to the school day, parents and guardians may not walk students to their classrooms unless prior arrangements have been approved by campus administration.

Afternoon Pick-Up

Parents and guardians must wait for their children in the designated pick-up areas and follow all campus dismissal procedures.

Lunch Visits

Parents and guardians are welcome to visit their children during lunch.

• Lunch visits are intended for families to spend time with their own child. During the visit, families may not invite other students to join them, show phones or other personal devices to other students, or share food with children other than their own.
• Families may bring lunch for their own child or children only.
• Visitors must follow cafeteria expectations and staff directions.
• Parents and guardians must check out through the main office immediately after lunch.

Volunteers on Campus

Volunteers are welcome and play an important role in supporting our students, staff, and school community. Volunteer opportunities may include:

• Supporting the library
• Assisting with campus beautification
• Restocking the staff PLC lounges
• Chaperoning field trips
• Supporting campus needs shared in the weekly newsletter
• Participating in approved PTA and Campus Advisory Council activities

All volunteers must complete the VOLY volunteer certification process before volunteering on campus or chaperoning a field trip.

While on campus, approved volunteers must follow all safety, confidentiality, and security procedures, including wearing a visitor badge, remaining in assigned areas, following staff directions, and participating appropriately in emergency drills .
